Friends of St Mary’s, Higham Ferrers

A magnificent collection of Grade I listed buildings from the medieval period: the Church of St Mary’s, the Bede House and the Chantry Chapel.

 

The churchyard with its similarly listed Wardyn Cross has a ‘gold’ award from the Wildlife Trust and was awarded ‘Best churchyard in the county’ for 2024 from the same organisation.

Opening times

The church is open daily from 10am until 4pm. There is always access to the other buildings on Thursday mornings and Farmers' Market Coffee Mornings ( the last Saturday of each month). Toilets can be found in the Bede House.
