Jon-Paul Carr, Treasurer

Jon-Paul is the former chairman of Northamptonshire Association for Local History, chairman of Irchester Parish Historical Society and trustee of Rushden Museum.

In addition, Jon-Paul has been a committee member of Rushden and District History Society, member of Chester House Estate Project Board, councillor for the former Borough Council of Wellingborough 2011-2021 and currently is also a councillor for for the new North Northamptonshire Council. He was also the Northamptonshire Studies Manager for Northamptonshire Libraries and Information Service from 2007 to 2018, where he managed local and family history provision and community engagement across 36 libraries.

Jon-Paul has a BTEC in Conservation and Restoration, BA (Hons) in Modern and Contemporary History, MA in English Local History and the Museum Diploma both from the University of Leicester. He is a keen heritage volunteer, local history lecturer and author.
