Talks/tours

'Rockingham, the social history of a Northamptonshire closed village.'

Talks are based on original research carried out using the primary sources of Rockingham Castle Estate. As well as a history of the village, the talks can emphasise various themes such as education in the 18th to 19th centuries, homes and living conditions, employment and social life. It can also include examples of how to research and write up the history of a place. Drawn from 'Rockingham, the Village under the Castle' by the speaker, it received 'Highly Commended' in the Northamptonshire Heritage Forum's Best Book Awards, 2023.
