Northampton Transport Heritage
Northampton Transport Heritage actively works to preserve and promote transport heritage in the county. Funds raised go directly to this objective for future generations to enjoy. The have a growing collection of vehicles, including ex Northampton Corporation Transport and United Counties buses. They also have an extensive and growing archive collection, which they preserving and working to make available to the public.
Formed in September 2017, principally to look after three ex-Northampton Corporation Transport vehicles: ANH 154, DNH 197 and JVV 267G, but the collection now stands at 11 vehicles.
That is not all though, within their eventual aim to create a transport museum for Northampton and the county, they aim to cater for all aspects of the rich transport heritage of town and county, whether it be bus, car, lorry, rail or water. If it’s transport-related with a Northamptonshire connection, they are interested! We also have an office in Northampton that is also our archiving centre.
